The original animated Beauty and the Beast musical, a Disney classic, was released in 1991 and featured vocal performances by Paige O'Hara and Robby Benson as Belle and the Beast, respectively. The story focuses on Belle becoming the Beast's prisoner to save her father, but the two wind up falling in love over time, which eventually leads to the Beast being free of his curse and turning back into the prince he once was. The story has been adapted for both Broadway and live-action, more recently with the Beauty and the Beast film starring Emma Watson and Dan Stevens released in 2017.
