Disney's next big live-action adaptation of an animated classic is "Beauty and the Beast," and as fans across the globe are geared up for a fantastical romp through a tale as old as time, the studio has released new character posters and motion posters for the film -- some of our best looks yet at the cast in character, and for the first time, an image of Dan Stevens (also the star of soon-to-debut X-Men-inspired FX series "Legion") as The Prince.

Those spotlighted in the posters are Emma Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast/The Prince, Luke Evans as Gaston, Josh Gad as LeFou, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, Audra McDonald as Garderobe, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza and Kevin Kline as Maurice.

Along with the character posters, Disney also released 11 "motion posters" -- 10-second versions of the static posters capturing the characters' elegance and action. Here's Emma Watson as Belle, part of a playlist with the other 10 motion posters:

Directed by Bill Condon and written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos, "Beauty and the Beast" brings the story, characters and songs of Disney's beloved 1991 animated musical to live action, with a scheduled release date of March 17.
