After dressing up as Marvel Comics character America Chavez for Halloween, Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor Stephanie Beatriz has reminded us all that she wants to tackle the role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Posting a side-by-side image of America Chavez and herself on Instagram, Beatriz has continued her campaign to be cast as the character in a live-action adaptation. The caption contains no words as the image does the talking: she's the spitting image of the superhero and it would be a no-brainer for Marvel Studios should it look to cast the role in the future.

Earlier this year, Beatriz took to Twitter to tell fans that she wants to bring America Chavez to life with a script by Gabby Rivera - the writer behind the ongoing America series featuring the character. Marvel Studios has not announced any plans for a Young Avengers or America Chavez project just yet, but perhaps the actor's persistence will prove that there's an audience for such a project. Marvel even replied to one of Beatriz' tweets to tell her that she "nailed it," in reference to her Halloween costume.

The character of America Chavez was created by Al Gabriele and Otto Binder and first gained popularity following the Young Avengers run by Kieron Gillen and Jamie McKelvie. She’s currently starring in her own series written by Gabby Rivera and drawn Joe Quinones, with the ninth issue due to be released on November 29.
