BBC America Co-Producing Horror Series From Skins Writer

BBC America has announced it's co-producing The Fades, a new supernatural drama from Skins writer Jack Thorne.

The series, which will premiere later this year as part of the cable channel's "Supernatural Saturday" lineup, features Skins alums Lily Loveless and Daniel Kaluuya.

The Fades stars Iain De Caestecker (Coronation Street) as Paul, a teenager haunted by apocalyptic dreams that neither his therapist, best friend and social outcast Mac (Kaluuya) nor his unsympathetic twin sister Anna (Loveless) can provide answers for. To make matters worse, Paul begins to see the spirits of the dead, called The Fades, all around him. When a vengeful Fade named Polus finds a way to become human again, Paul must stop him -- and all of the dead -- from breaking back into the world and attacking humanity.

Other cast members in the BBC Three co-production include Natalie Dormer (The Tudors), Tom Ellis (Merlin), Johnny Harris (Spartacus) and Daniela Nardini (This Life).
