BBC America Acquires Entire Run Of <i>Battlestar Galactica</i>

BBC America has struck a deal with NBC Universal Domestic TV Distribution for the entire run of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica by David Eick and Ronald D. Moore -- the three-hour miniseries and all four seasons -- to air as part of the cable channel's "Supernatural Saturday" lineup.

The acclaimed drama will premiere on BBC America at 7 p.m. ET/PT June 18.

The series, described by Time as "a gripping sci-fi allegory of the war on terror," centers on the struggle of the last remnants of humanity to find a home while fleeing their deadly Cylon enemies. It stars Edward James Olmos, Mary McDonnell, Katee Sackhoff, Jamie Bamber, Michael Hogan, James Callis, Tricia Helfer and Grace Park.
