'Baywatch' Casts Dwayne Johnson's Love Interest

"Billions" actress Ilfenesh Hadera will play Dwayne Johnson's love interest in Paramount's action-comedy remake of "Baywatch."

For our coveted role of 'STEF,' she had to be a lot of things: Strong, intelligent, formidable, beautiful and funny," Johnson wrote this morning on Instagram. "Want to welcome the talented Ilfenesh Hadera to our 'Baywatch' family."

She joins a cast that also includes Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and Kelly Rohrbach. In addition to "Billions," Hadera's credits include "The Blacklist," "Oldboy," "Show Me a Hero" and "Chicago Fire."

Directed by Seth Gordon ("Horrible Bosses"), "Baywatch" is thought to center on a by-the-book lifeguard (Johnson) who’s forced to team with a rule-breaking hothead (Efron) to save their beach from an oil tycoon. The film's tone has been compared to that of "21 Jump Street."

Johnson teased that more casting announcements are expected soon.
