The Batwoman writers are encouraging fans to help the series get a Season 4.The writers shared their instructions to fans of the CW show on Twitter. "Celebrate the arrival of Batwoman's 3rd season on HBO Max!" they wrote. "Stream season 3 and share your appreciation, favorite scenes, memories, and why Batwoman should be renewed. Batwoman premiered on The CW in 2019 and told the story of Kate Kane, a former U.S. Marine trainee who discovered her missing cousin Bruce Wayne was secretly Batman and donned a cape and cowl of her own to protect Gotham City. The first season suffered from behind-the-scenes troubles, including shutting down production prematurely due to COVID-19 and lead actorRuby Rose deciding to leave the show. Season 2 premiered in early 2021 with a new Scarlet Knight: Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, an ex-con who stumbled onto the batsuit and became a vigilante herself.

The third season of Batwoman ended with plenty of teases for potential future storylines. Beth Kane --Kate's long-lost twin sister and the deranged gang leader Alice -- seemed to be turning over a new leaf, checking herself into a Swiss sanitorium in the hopes of reaffirming her sanity. There's also the aftermath of Marquis Jet's attack on Gotham, which left behind a fallout that created a new villain for Batwoman to face. While Season 3 filled in many of the blanks regarding Ryan's birth family, the identity of her real father is a mystery that has yet to be solved.

Of the Arrowverse shows still airing, The CW has so far renewed two of them: The Flash, which will enter its ninth season, and Superman & Lois, which will enter its third. The futures of both Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow are unknown at this time. Two other superhero shows based on DC comics -- Stargirl and Naomi -- are also awaiting word of their renewal.

Currently, The CW is developing two more DC shows for the network. Justice U will see David Ramsey reprise his Arrow role of John Diggle as the A.R.G.U.S. agent recruits and trains five young metahumans to become heroes while they take classes together at a university. The other series, Gotham Knights, will -- like Batwoman -- take place in a Gotham City that has lost its Batman and focus on supporting characters like Stephanie Brown, Carrie Kelly, Harper Row and a new original character, Turner Hayes, who is Bruce Wayne's adopted son.

All three seasons of Batwoman are available to stream on HBO Max.
