Supergirl won't just be again teaming up with Batwoman in the Arrowverse's upcoming "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event. The two series will both be featured back-to-back in The CW's Sunday night lineup starting this fall.
A new promo proclaims, "Sundays are for soaring," "Sundays are for smashing" and "Sundays are for being super." Scenes featuring both heroes are interspersed throughout the 20-second teaser clip.
The two characters first met when Batwoman was introduced in last season's "Elseworlds" Arrowverse crossover. Batwoman didn't have a large role in that event, but promises to figure in more prominently as an official part of "Crisis on Infinite Earths."
In the promo clip, Batwoman refers to her and Supergirl as "The World's Finest." The mention pays homage to the moniker often applied to the two heroes' respective cousins, Batman and Superman, when teamed up on their own adventures.
Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 6 and air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT.
Returning Sunday, Oct. 6 at 9 pm ET/PT on The CW, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Danvers, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter, Mehcad Brooks as Jimmy Olsen and Chyler Leigh as Alex Danvers.
