New photos for The CW's Batwoman Season 2 reintroduce Tommy Elliot/Hush disguised as Bruce Wayne (Warren Christie).

Batwoman Season 1 ended with Alice (Rachel Skarsten) giving the equally villainous Hush (Gabriel Mann) a new face, allowing him to pretend to be Bruce Wayne (Christie), so he could steal the Kryptonite Shard -- aka, the one thing that can truly damage the Batsuit -- locked away within Wayne Tower. Entertainment Weekly has released several new photos for Batwoman Season 2, including an image that shows Hush as Bruce Wayne holding a Bat-gadget and another one of him with Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), who's unaware he's an imposter.

Original Batwoman star Ruby Rose left the show earlier this year and has since been replaced by Javicia Leslie, who will play a brand-new character, Ryan Wilder, who happens upon the Batsuit after the previous Scarlet Knight, Rose's Kate Kane, mysteriously vanishes. EW's photos provide another look at Leslie suited up as Batwoman, along with returning Season 1 characters like Kate's stepsister Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang), Kate's father Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and Kate's ex-girlfriend Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy), in addition to the new Batmobile that was recently featured in the Season 2 trailer.

According to her official character description, Wilder is "nothing like Kate Kane" and has spent years getting by as a drug-runner in Gotham City prior to the events of Batwoman Season 2. A "highly skilled and undisciplined fighter," Wilder is openly gay (like Kate) and lived in a van with her prized plant, which she's named.

In a city desperate for a savior, Batwoman must first overcome her own demons before embracing the call to be Gotham’s symbol of hope.

Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott and Nicole Kang. Season 2 premieres on Sunday, Jan. 17 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
