Former Batwoman star Ruby Rose offered a heartfelt message to her fans in her first statement since news broke that she would be exiting the Arrowverse.

On Instagram, Rose shared a fan video of her as Kate Kane/Batwoman, adding, "Thank you everyone for coming on this journey. If I mentioned everyone it would be 1000 tags... but Thank you to the cast, crew, producers and studio. It wasn’t an easy decision but those who know, know... I didn’t want to not acknowledge everyone involved and how big this was for TV and for our community. I have stayed silent because that’s my choice for now but know I adore you all. I’m sure next season will be amazing also. Xxx *hangs up cowl and cape."

Earlier this month, Rose announced that she would be stepping down from the lead role of The CW's Batwoman, though no official reason for her departure has been given. In her post, Rose alluded to but didn't reveal what led to her leaving the show while also acknowledging the importance of a lesbian actor playing a lesbian superhero on TV.

Shortly after the announcement that Rose was leaving the series, word arrived that the choice may not have been solely the actor's, hinting that the minds behind the show weren't thrilled with Rose's attitude. Despite her exit, the role will be recast and the show will continue, and plenty of actors are eager to put on the cape and cowl. Stephanie Beatriz, Jade Tailor and Wallis Day have all expressed interest in replacing Rose, but no official decision has been made yet.
