Batwoman Promo Proves She's a Hero, Even Without the Super Suit

Ruby Rose as Batwoman

The CW released a new promo for Batwoman, the latest superhero series set in the Arrowverse. While the series' first trailer focused on Kate Kane assuming the mantle of the Batwoman to replace the absent Batman, this new promo plays things differently.

Here, there are no capes, no cowls and no batarangs. There is just a woman, helping out someone in need.

In the video, Ruby Rose's Kate Kane hands out money to a young girl begging on a street corner. After she does so, a military officer warns Kate not to encourage her. This prompts Kate to go back and give the girl her expensive watch, walking by the officer once more with a taunting smile.

Without speaking any words, Kate demonstrates just what type of character she is. She is one who helps out people, even if it means standing up to authority to do it.

In Batwoman, Kate Kane will take to the rooftops of Gotham to face the rise of Alice and the Wonderland Gang in a despondent city void of hope.

Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT. However, no premiere date has been announced yet.
