Ever since Ruby Rose departed the role of Batwoman, fans have wondered who will don the vigilante's scarlet cape and wig in Season 2. However, one DC television alum has already expressed interest in filling the role.Krypton star Wallis Day recently posted a video of herself undergoing fight training, to which one Twitter user responded, "I hear they're looking for a new Batwoman..." "Sounds like a dream" Day said in response.
Day previously played Nyssa-Vex on Krypton, and he and Seg-El (Cameron Cuffe) had a baby together: Jor-El, father of the future Superman. Day is not the only actor to express interest in the role, though, as The Magicians' Jade Tailor and Brooklyn Nine-Nine's Stephanie Beatriz have also thrown their hats in the ring.
Rose chose to depart Batwoman after its first season. "This was not a decision I made lightly as I have the utmost respect for the cast, crew and everyone involved with the show in both Vancouver and in Los Angeles," she said in a statement. Producer Greg Berlanti and Warner Bros Television are actively searching for an LGBTQ actor to fill the role.
Batwoman premiered on The CW in October of 2019 and showed a Gotham City in which Batman/Bruce Wayne has left, leaving his cousin Kate Kane to take the mantle of Gotham's savior. The series is a part of The CW's Arrowverse, which includes Supergirl, The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, Black Lightning and Superman & Lois.
