With the eagerly anticipated series premiere of Batwoman just over a week away, The CW has released the official plot description of the next Arrowverse series' second episode.

Titled "The Rabbit Hole," the synopsis teases Kate Kane being haunted by the tragic death of her sister fifteen years before the start of the series while attempting to live up to her missing cousin Bruce Wayne's legacy as Gotham City's protector.

LEGACY – Back in Gotham, battling Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and the Wonderland Gang from the shadows, Kate Kane (Ruby Rose) continues to be haunted by the events surrounding her sister’s death 15 years earlier. While the city holds on to hope that Batman has returned, Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) and the Crows up the stakes trying to take down the villainous crew. Kate continues to look to Bruce Wayne’s legacy for guidance as Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson) inadvertently gets pulled into Batwoman’s vigilante heroics. Sophie (Meagan Tandy) and Kate are forced to team up, while Mary (Nicole Kang) finds herself in Alice’s crosshairs. Elizabeth Anweis also stars. The episode was written by Caroline Dries and directed by Marcos Siega (#102). Original airdate 10/13/2019. Spinning out of last year's Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds," Batwoman will quickly expand the eponymous superhero's supporting cast, including Kate's father Jacob and confidante Luke Fox, as well as the deranged Alice and her Wonderland Gang.

Written by Caroline Dries and developed by Bertlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television, Batwoman stars Ruby Rose, Rachel Skarsten, Meagan Tandy, Camrus Johnson, Dougray Scott, Elizabeth Anweis and Nicole Kang. The series will premiere on Sunday, Oct. 6 and air on Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT.
