Batwoman made her CW debut during the fifth annual Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds," with her own self-titled series coming to the network the following year. Season 1 followed the story of Kate Kane, a former military cadet who turned her considerable skills towards crimefighting in the absence of the Batman. Batwoman suffered a setback when Ruby Rose exited the series but bounced back when Javicia Leslie was cast as the new Scarlet Knight: Ryan Wilder, a homeless ex-con who discovers the bat-suit and takes up arms against Gotham's underworld while searching for the missing Kate Kane.

The series has received mixed reviews but has amassed a loyal audience for being the first of the CW's superhero lineup to feature an out gay character in the lead.

Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane and Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton-Kane. New episodes air Sundays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
