WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for "Fair Skin, Blue Eyes" the latest episode of Batwoman, which aired Sunday on The CW.

The hunt for Kate Kane is on. In "Fair Skin, Blue Eyes," the latest episode of Batwoman, Crow Agent Sophie More and notorious villain Alice found themselves in an uneasy alliance as they attempted to find Kate and wrest her out of Safiyah's grasp. However, while they share a goal, their intentions for Kate couldn't be any more different. After all, Alice wants nothing more than to kill her twin sister.

At the start of the episode, Sophie found herself in a precarious position when Alice showed up at her apartment. Alice insisted they work together to find a man named Ocean, as Safiyah wanted Alice to bring Ocean to her in exchange for Kate's release. Without much to go on beyond a name, Alice needed help finding Ocean, and so asked Sophie to use her Crow resources to track him down. She argued that their common goal -- finding Kate -- meant working together would turn up quicker results. However, they had very different plans in mind for when they actually got Kate back.

Naturally, Sophie didn't trust Alice. So, when Luke Fox entered the picture and dug up an address, she told Alice she was meeting Jacob Kane and left the apartment to investigate. Equally untrusting, Alice followed Sophie, leading them both to Ocean's drug lab. After a brief scuffle with Angelique Martin that left her gasping for breath, Sophie demanded to know what Alice really wanted with Kate.

"Just when I thought we were bonding," Alice sneered as she sauntered into the room.

"Did you really think I'd trust you?" Sophie shot back.

"I want to find Kate just like you," Alice insisted.

Sophie shook her head. "The question is: why?" she said. "To make things right? To apologize? To promise you'll change your ways?"

"I think we both know the answer to that question," Alice replied. "I'm going to find my sister, and I'm going to kill her." Then, without another word, she knocked Sophie out.

Later, as Alice checked out the room, she picked up a couple clues. First, she discovered a key card for Burnside Motel Room #11, which fell out of Angelique's pocket during her fight with Sophie. Then, she found an envelope with a message from Ocean scrawled on it: "Drop the merch at the hotel before 5 pm tomorrow." As she continued her tour, she also found a photo of him on the wall, which elicited a startling response.

Alice found herself pulled into a flashback, like a repressed memory. In it, she was back on Coryana, taking a stroll through a garden with Safiyah. There, they came across two men sparring, who paused when Safiyah called out his name: "Ocean." Almost immediately, Ocean and Alice locked eyes. "Hi," he said with a big smile, which she returned with a shy smile.

When the flashback ended, Alice was left doubled over and gasping for breath. "What the hell was that?" she breathed, her eyes glittering with tears.

Clearly, there is more to Safiyah's mission for Alice than meets the eye. Alice appears to have a history with Ocean, despite the fact she cannot remember him. As such, her next moves will indicate which is more important to her: her mission to kill Kate, or her willingness to uncover the secrets of her own past. Further, it is unclear whether or not Ocean will remember her, and how that will impact her ability to deliver on her promise to Safiyah.

Airing Sundays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW, Batwoman stars Javicia Leslie as Ryan Wilder, Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Meagan Tandy as Sophie Moore, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Dougray Scott as Jacob Kane and Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton-Kane.
