Created by Madureira in 1998, Battle Chasers follows the story of legendary warrior Garrison and Gully, who is the daughter of the missing warrior Aramus. The series is infamous for its many delays, with massive gaps between issues. Madureira first announced in 2017 that he would conclude the series with three issues, and the art from Battle Chasers #10 indicates that said conclusion is underway.

Madureira also created the Battle Chasers: Nightwar video game, which was based on the comic and released under his Airship Syndicate company. Funded via Kickstarter, the game was released in 2017 and became a massive success. Madureira has done artwork for other comics and video games, including Darksiders and Avenging Spider-Man.
