Kodansha Comics USA today revealed that the upcoming Battle Angel Alita Deluxe Edition Box Set will include an exclusive poster by Yukito Kishiro, creator of Battle Angel Alita. The poster is slated to be revealed in-person this Saturday at the Kodansha Comics: Battle Angel Alita and Ghost in the Shell panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego.

The Battle Angel Alita Deluxe Edition Box Set will include six hardcovers spanning five volumes. The box set also includes the rare Ashen Victor story, two extensive interviews with the creator, Battle Angel Alita: Holy Night and Other Stories, as well as the poster. The poster itself is a unique creation specifically designed for the box set.

The Battle Angel Alita is set to be adapted for the big screen this December in Alita: Battle Angel, directed by Robert Rodriguez and produced by James Cameron. The film is slated to adapt the first four books in the series.

Created by Yukito Kishiro, Battle Angel Alita is a manga that ran from 1990 until 1995. The series follows an amnesiac cyborg named Alita who is revived from suspended animation by a cybermedic. Alita progressively regains her memory as she takes on jobs as a mercenary, then as an athlete in the future sport Motorball.

Kodansha Comics: Battle Angel Alita and Ghost in the Shell panel will be held at SDCC in Room 8 on Saturday, July 21 from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm.
