WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn #6, by Katana Collins, Sean Murphy, Matteo Scalera, Dave Stewart, and AndWorld Design, on sale now.

The final issue of Batman: White Knight Presents Harley Quinn ends on an intriguing note as Harley manages to lock up the deadly Starlet after she bombed her house and killed Harley's beloved hyena, Lou. It took a lot out of Harley not to kill the villain for that, but ultimately, she knows she has to honor what Batman stood for as he helped her get the job done.

While White Knight Presents Harley Quinn #6 closes yet another intense chapter in her life, it sets up several elements that tease a potential future for the former Joker sidekick.

As the story wraps up, Harley' is given a new home and headquarters by Bruce Wayne. It has her own Bat-computer in the basement, which sets her up to become a Dark Knight in her own right' Batgirl's working with Nightwing in the field for the Gotham Terrorist Oppression unit so this would fit Harley perfectly as she'd get to stay at home, out the line of fire and take care of her kids. Plus, someone needs to look after the other hyena, Bud, and the baby one Bruce also gifted her as a gesture of goodwill and their shared romantic attraction.

However, that doesn't mean she can't venture out into the field, because he also left her a black-and-gray suit. Harley has what she needs if ever she needs to prowl rooftops. This is how she hunted the Starlet down, and she has a utility belt, access to Bruce's Batmobile and a retractable mallet if she ever needs to stalk Gotham's streets again.

For the moment, she seems more likely to stick to profiling and working cases on paper, but she may not be just relegated to people who are cool with Bruce. Jason Todd came back to Gotham to guard Bruce in jail, and he may yet become the Red Hood, giving Harley a great ally, especially since she saved him from Joker's beating. This could help her psychoanalyze him, Batman and even herself as they work through the traumatic demons of old from that night with the clown that saw Jason run away.

Whichever path she walks, it's not clear how Duke and the other Gotham cops react. Duke is not the younger hero Signal, as he is in the mainstream DCU, but the rule-bending cop has already worked well with harley in the past, and they could replace Batman and Jim Gordon as a Gotham's main hero and law enforcement duo.

Harley already has a nemesis in the Producer, who set everything up to make Harley a villain, only to realize she was a hero. He sacrificed Starlet, to test Harley, and now that he knows her worth, he'll doubtlessly unleash new villains. Ultimately, the Producer thinks these mysterious rogues can break her and give him a theatrical spectacle along the way, so Harley already has her work cut out.
