The Joker and Harley Quinn are apparently taking their relationship to the next level. Previously, it was revealed that the two would enjoy their first ever sex scene together, and now it seems like the Joker is ready to put a ring on that finger. Harley isn’t buying it, though, in the newest art tease revealed by Batman: White Knight creator Sean Murphy.

Murphy posted the art to his Twitter account today, showing the Clown Prince of Crime get down on one knee to propose to Harley Quinn, his former psychologist who he tormented until she became his primary accomplice and love interest. The proposal doesn’t go quite as planned, though, the Joker gets a swift strike to the stomach.

Batman: White Knight imagines a world in which the Joker has reformed. Batman, of course, does not believe his old nemesis’ story about being cured and, as Joker (who now goes by the name Jack Napier) becomes a voice for the abused lower class of Gotham, the Dark Knight becomes increasingly convinced he’s up to something.

Batman: White Knight #2 releases in comic book stores on Nov. 1. The series is written and illustrated by Sean Murphy. The series’ run was recently extended from seven issues to eight.
