Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles packs in quite a cast of characters in the new trailer for the animated feature. This adaptation of the 2015 DC Comics and IDW Publishing collaboration -- Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles -- features a high percentage of the signature characters from both universes.

The original story arc from which this is based was written James Tynion IV, with art by Freddie Williams II. The six-issue series saw Shredder and the Turtles transported to an alternate universe by Krang, only to end up in Gotham City, at odds with the Bat and his rogues gallery. The movie is expected to follow the comics pretty closely.

In the trailer, we see Shredder form an alliance with Ra's al Ghul, and the sinister duo proceeds to release The Joker and several other Bat-villains from captivity. In fact, the cast is especially extensive considering the average runtime of these types of projects.

From the TMNT side, we have Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael, as well as the Shredder. However, Baxter Stockman is also listed among the credits. As for the Gotham side, Batman, Batgirl and Robin make up our heroes, with Alfred and Gordon both listed, too. Then, there's Ra's al Ghul, The Joker, Penguin, Mr. Freeze, Two-Face, Bane, Scarecrow, Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy.

As for voice talent, Troy Baker will pull double duty, voicing both Batman and The Joker -- something never done in one movie before. Baker has plenty of experience voicing Gothamites in animation and video games, with past credits including Batman, Joker, Jason Todd, Two-Face, Tim Drake and others throughout the LEGO DC and Arkham series of games.

Baker's not the only one voicing two characters, though. Tara Strong, who has been the animation/video game voice of Harley Quinn pretty consistently since 2011's Arkham City, will not only play Dr. Quinzel but also lend her talents to Poison Ivy. Furthermore, Keith Ferguson (F is for Family) will play both Baxter Stockman and Two-Face, and Jim Meskimen, who has worked on several TMNT project previously, will voice Commissioner Gordon and Scarecrow.

As for the Turtles themselves, Darren Criss (The CW's Music Meister) is Raphael, Baron Vaughn (Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Return) is Donatello, Eric Bauza (Splinter from Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) is Leonardo and finally, SNL's Kyle Mooney will voice Michelangelo.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is scheduled to be released in late spring on Blu-ray, 4K UHD and Digital HD.
