When asked whether he sees Superman with Wonder Woman or Lois Lane during an interview with Cosmopolitan, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" star Henry Cavill revealed that the answer isn't quite as simple as it appears.

"This is a very long discussion because there are a lot of questions to be asked and answered," he explained. "I mean, who is better for a super-powered alien, a human or a goddess? Yes, the goddess can do all the normal things, which we would think are normal in a relationship, and not have any fear of Superman. But you also need to have that baseline of humanity, which Lois provides. And literally keeps his feet on the ground, keeps him down to earth. So that's more of a debate than an answer."

In the comics, Superman has been involved in a lot of longstanding romantic relationships, though his most recognizable is that with his co-worker, Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane. However, he has not dated her in New 52 continuity and is currently in a relationship with Wonder Woman. His past relationships also include Lana Lang and Lori Lemaris.

Cavill appeared as Superman in 2013's "Man of Steel," where he locked lips with Amy Adam's Lois Lane among the Kryptonian-caused destruction of Metropolis. Both Cavill and Adams will reprise their roles in "Batman v Superman."

Starring Cavill, Ben Affleck and Gal Gadot, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled to open on March 25, 2016.
