One of the big revelations from Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice watch party pertains to the character who helped Flash travel back to the past a second time.

Although Snyder's plans for a trilogy of Justice League movies fell apart following his and Joss Whedon's Justice League in 2017, that hasn't stopped the director laying out his plans on Vero. While everyone knows the cosmic treadmill sent Barry Allen back to Bruce in Batman v Superman, it turns out Snyder planned an alternate timeline involving Cyborg and another trip to the past.

While discussing the fan-favorite "Knightmare" sequence, Snyder explained, "I had this idea that in the future when [the Justice League] are talking about sending Flash back to warn [Bruce Wayne], that Cyborg would be doing the calculations to send him back and would say 'I have two possibilities of where to send Flash back in time. The numbers point to two moments to warn you [Bruce].'”

Snyder concluded that Batman v Superman's warning wouldn't have worked, leading to the Knightmare-era League having to come up with a new plan. He continued, "And so in the future Bruce says to Cyborg 'Well, what times would you send me back to...What time right now would you send me back?' And Cyborg says 'I'm leaning toward this.' And Bruce says 'Do the other one, because you already sent him back here and it was too early - so send me to the other one.' So that's how he's able to get him [Flash] back again. Because in the new timeline he goes to a different point in time that's closer to the event that we haven't seen yet in this film."

Everything gets a little complicated, but the basic premise is that Allen's failure to spur Bruce into action during Batman v Superman meant Darkseid still killed Lois Lane, Superman was corrupted by the Anti-Life Equation and the Justice League lost Apokolips. It's believed that Justice League 3 would've echoed Avengers: Endgame's time heist and have Cyborg send Allen to a different point in time -- closer to Lois' death -- to warn Bruce once again. Even though Snyder doesn't reveal when this would've been, it appears the League was going to go further into its future once again.

Snyder has previously hyped the importance of the Knightmare sequence and frequently returned to comment on where the dystopian timeline fits into his Justice League arc. Despite Snyder feeding fans tidbits from his DCEU movies over the years on Vero, the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice watch party delivers some of the biggest takeaways yet.
