Following persistent rumors that "Hunger Games" actress Jena Malone played Barbara Gordon in "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," the credits for the film's "Ultimate Edition" cut prove those rumors to be false. Instead, Malone appeared as Jenet Klyburn, a blonde-haired character that interacts with Lois Lane in a deleted scene from the film. Part of Malone's scene can be glimpsed in a promo for the Ultimate Edition cut. The credits for the Ultimate Edition have leaked a month ahead of its release, and you can see Malone's name at the 1:10 mark.

Jenet Klyburn is herself a DC character, albeit a minor one; she's a lead scientist at Metropolis' S.T.A.R. Labs and was a supporting character in "Superman" in the '70s. Malone's version of the character, though, sports glasses and is blonde instead of a redhead.

Malone was first reported as being in the film in October 2014, and early rumors had her pegged as the Carrie Kelley. Rumors that she'd play Batgirl/Barbara Gordon broke later, in July 2015. More weight was given to the rumor in February of this year when a French magazine of undetermined origin seemingly confirmed that Malone would play Gordon. A month later, a poll shared on Reddit from Warner Bros. seemingly confirmed the Malone/Gordon connection. But it was also revealed ahead of "BvS'" release that Malone's scene had been cut and would arrive in the Ultimate Edition. Now it appears that her character's name and appearance indicate that she was never intended to play Barbara Gordon.

The credits also confirm that Hal Jordan does not make an appearance in "BvS," and he was rumored to be played by Dan Amboyer. Instead, Amboyer is simply credited as "Drone Pilot" -- although it is always possible that that could be retconned into being Hal Jordan.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - Ultimate Edition" arrives on Digital HD June 28 and on Blu-ray July 19.
