The murder of Bruce Wayne's parents is the fundamental point in early Batman history, and it looks like 2016's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" may return to that pivotal moment in the Caped Crusader's origin story. In one of multiple photos from the film's Chicago set posted to Instagram by blogger Dan Marcus, a movie theater marquee advertises "The Mark of Z" -- a truncated version of "The Mark of Zorro," the film that, in DC Comics lore, a young Bruce Wayne watched with his parents before they were gunned down in front of him.
Another photo, also from Marcus, shows a "Mark of Zorro" movie poster:
As the first film to feature Ben Affleck as Batman, these photos definitely suggest that "Batman v Superman" will include some amount of re-telling of the hero's famous origin story -- though of course, exactly how things play out remain uncertain until Warner Bros' DC-based film opens in March 2016.
Other photos posted by Marcus include a peek at the Daily Planet offices:

Directed by Zack Snyder, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is scheduled for release on March 25, 2016.
