"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" stars all three of DC's most prominent characters: Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman. While her name isn't in the title, Wonder Woman has been front and center for most of "BvS'" promotion, implying that the iconic hero has a large role to play in the upcoming WB/DC feature film.
But Wonder Woman's full range of powers won't be on display in the film, revealed "BvS" producer Deborah Snyder in an interview with Collider. Instead, some of those powers will wait until director Patty Jenkins' "Wonder Woman" film to be seen.
"I think that [director] Zack Snyder and [DC Entertainment CCO] Geoff Johns sat down and outlined these stories, many of them at least," said Snyder. "Really, we did a chart with what their powers were, like what Superman's powers were, and I think you see a little bit of Wonder Woman. So we get a sense of her power but we didn't want to do too much because obviously Patty's going to build up to that and we're going to learn how she discovers her powers in that movie."
In the comics, Wonder Woman has possessed everything from superhuman strength, speed, agility, durability, endurance and reflexes to flight and a number of iconic weapons (like her indestructible bracelets and the Lasso of Truth). It's not yet known which of these abilities she will possess in "Batman v Superman" and which will be held off until "Wonder Woman."
"Batman v Superman" opens on March 25, 2016; "Wonder Woman" arrives in theaters on June 23, 2017.
