Following initial reports that "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" pulled in $170.1 million at the domestic box office in its opening weekend, Warner Bros. has announced that the film actually earned a little bit less than that. "BvS" actually earned $166.1 million, four million less, in its opening weekend.

The final tally means that "BvS" has dropped one spot, from having the sixth-best opening weekend of all time to the seventh; it's now under "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2's" $169.2 million and "The Dark Knight Rises'" $160.9 million. The film also did $57.3 million in China, making it the best opening weekend performance for a WB release in the country.

The new $166.1M total still ensures the film's record for a March release, as it's still higher than the $152.54 million that "The Hunger Games" earned when it opened in March 2012.

"Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is in theaters now.
