Fresh off its opening weekend, Warner Bros.' "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" earned $15.05 million at Monday's box office. Forbes reports that the film's domestic box office gross is up to $181m overall.

"Batman v Superman" earned $166.1 million in its opening weekend, which made it the seventh-best opening weekend of all time. Thanks to its big Monday box office, it has become the 30th biggest Monday ever, the 20th-biggest "day four" Monday and the 12th biggest non-holiday Monday of all time.

According to the report, "Batman v Superman's" predecessor "Man of Steel" scored $12m on its first Monday. "Batman v Superman" has already beat out its competition, like "Captain America: The First Avenger" ($176 million), "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" ($179.8m), "Ant-Man" ($181m) and "Thor" ($181.03m). The film is projected to earn $220m at the domestic box office by the time it closes its first week.

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is now playing in theaters.
