An early concept image of the Batsuit for 2016's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice was released by artist Jerad S. Marantz.

Marantz shared the image on Instagram, which showed a 3D version of the Dark Knight in an armor-less suit. "Here are some early Batman material studies I did for [Batman v Superman]," he wrote. "At this point it was just about showing the fabric. This was before casting."

Marantz recently shared another version of the Batsuit, which featured a sleeker aesthetic, as well as a more tech-heavy incarnation. In addition to BvS, he has lent his talent to many superhero films over the years, including Avengers: Infinity War, Spiderman: Far from Home, Shazam! and Justice League.

The next live-action film version of the Caped Crusader will be portrayed by Robert Pattinson in Matt Reeves' The Batman, which releases on June 25, 2021.
