In the run and gun game of Hollywood franchise promotion, early trailers can kill or ignite the buzz for big budget movies. And so a wave of reports and rumors about trailers for both Warner Bros. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Fox's Fantastic Four reboot are brining fandom to a pre-judgement boil.

First up, Latino Review is carrying the torch that the Batman v Superman teaser is set to debut in front of WB's Jupiter Ascending. That film is slated to arrive in theaters on February 6, 2015.

Seeming corroborating the report is new site Projection List, which has a rundown of several supposed dates for incoming trailers including Josh Trank's Fantastic Four film, which they claim will arrive on February 13 in front of Fox Marvel consultant Mark Millar and Matthew Vaughn's Kingsman: The Secret Service.

Both superhero releases represent make-or-break opportunities for their respective studios. While Batman v Superman is technically the sequel to returning director Zack Snyder's box office-winning Man of Steel, everything from the casting of Ben Affleck as the Dark Knight to the costume choice for Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman has drawn extra scrutiny, and the first teaser looks to be no different. Meanwhile, Trank's FF has been one of the most widely debated and held under wraps superhero films in years – with drama from the film bleeding into the publishing plans of Marvel Comics. Needless to say, both trailers will receive extra levels of critique whenever they arrive.

Batman v Superman is set for release on March 25, 2016 while Fantastic Four arrives August 7, 2015.
