DC, IDW and Nickelodeon are bringing their inter-company trilogy to a close in May with Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III by architects James Tynion IV, Freddie E. Williams III and TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman. Tynion recently shared character designs by Williams, giving fans a glimpse of what they can expect when the Bat and Turtles unite once again.

"Okay. I promised you a bunch of art from BATMAN/TMNT III today, and @Freddieart & I are going to deliver!" Tynion posted on Twitter. "Let me just say I couldn’t be more excited to return to New Gotham City and revisit the incredible adventures of BATMAN, and his faithful butler. #BTMNT3."

This looks to be the first confirmation that the universes Batman and the Ninja Turtles occupy will collide, resulting in the main characters taking up new identities and visual looks. Batman is shown with his traditional cape-and-cowl with the addition of piece-mail armor. As for Master Splinter and Alfred, they are combined into one character with Splinter's body and Alfred's clothing and mannerisms.

Williams joined in with the character reveals, sharing artwork for Joker/Shredder, aka the Laughing Man, leader of the Smile (Foot) Clan, his Smile Soldiers, Clayface/Rocksteady, Leonardo/Nightwing, Raphael/Red Hood, Killer Croc/Bebop, Smile Clan member Deadshot, Donatello/Red Hood and Michelangelo/Robin.

Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III, by James Tynion IV, Freddie E. Williams III and Kevin Eastman, arrives in comic stores and digitally Wednesday, May 1.
