Batman: Three Jokers is set to explore the legacy of the Dark Knight's arch-enemy as not just one, but three distinct personalities. The existence of three Jokers was first teased back in 2015, when Batman, who was in possession of Metron's Mobius Chair at the time, was told by the chair that there were three separate Jokers in existence.

Since then, the mystery of the three Jokers has been teased but never fully answered, until now. The official  description for Batman: Three Jokers states that the series "reexamines the myth of who, or what, The Joker is and what is at the heart of his eternal battle with Batman."

Batman: Three Jokers #1, by Geoff Johns and Jason Fabok, goes on sale Aug. 25 from DC.
