First Lady Dr. Jill Biden got some help from DC superheroes to send the message that vaccinations for coronavirus (COVID-19) are good for children.

Biden was joined by Wonder Woman and Superman at Texas Children's Hospital in Houston to meet with kids receiving the vaccine as part of a collaboration the Biden-Harris administration has with WarnerMedia. The media giant is providing Children's Hospitals with adhesive bandages that feature DC characters, as well as Bendon activity books and coloring books.

Another gift to the children is a poster bearing the title "Your Hero Story Is Just Getting Started!" that features several DC heroes, including Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman, Blue Beetle and Static.

The freebie items are available to kids between the ages of 5 and 12 who get the COVID-19 vaccine during November and December at a Children's Hospital clinic. Dr. Biden and the superheroes came to Texas Children's Hospital to lend some comfort to the children there.

WarnerMedia has partnered with the Biden-Harris administration, including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to encourage safety and awareness during the pandemic in several ways. The "Getting There" campaign with HHS targeted communities where people are reluctant to get vaccinated, and its "Mask Up America" campaign with the Ad Council encourage people to follow CDC directives on mask-wearing.

The CW channel from WarnerMedia also ran a "Real Heroes Wear Masks" campaign that included PSAs on The CW's Arrowverse shows featuring heroes such as Batwoman, Supergirl and The Flash wearing surgical masks. Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Bitsie Tulloch appeared on a panel event titled "Whatever It Takes to be a Hero" that encouraged children to be safe, in a joint initiative by The CW and Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
