In addition to a new creative team, Batman/Superman #16 will see the World's Finest traveling to other worlds-- and battling a new crop of villains in the process.

The official solicitation for the issue features the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel grappling with the fallout from Dark Nights: Death Metal, although these aren't the Superman and Batman fans know. The Superman shown on the cover for Batman/Superman #16 features an outfit hewing back to his first appearance, while Batman's black and grey outfit hearkens back to Batman: Year One.

The cover also features the debut of three new villains. The Spider Lady is a femme fatale with "poisonous webs," while Dr. Atom sports a space-age costume and a Kryptonite necklace that spells trouble for Superman. Rounding out the trio is the Unknown Wizard, who has a shaved head and glowing red eyes.

Batman/Superman #16 will feature the new creative team of Gene Luen Yang (Shang-Chi, Superman Smashes The Klan) and Ivan Reis (Superman). Yang is also writing a Batman/Superman story for DC Future State, and will take over the title from previous writer Joshua Williamson.
