Damian Wayne and Jon Kent find themselves in deep trouble in a new official clip from Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, the latest film under the DC Universe Animated Original Movies banner.

The clip sees Damian and Jon, aka Robin and Superboy, arrive at an undisclosed location, possibly the Justice League Watchtower, with the plan of quickly killing Starro so that they can get back to Wayne Manor in time for Alfred's cucumber sandwiches. However, upon opening the first security door, Damian and Jon find themselves face-to-face with infected members of the Justice League, who have been put under the control of Starro and are ready to prevent the Super Sons from proceeding any further.

Battle of the Super Sons was first announced in Oct. 2021. The film marks the first DC Universe Animated Original Movie to use CG animation and is inspired by the two monthly Super Sons comic book series, which were published between 2017 and 2019. The film will also mark the first time Damian Wayne and Jon Kent have appeared together in an animated or live-action project. Both characters have appeared separately in animation and live-action, but have never shared the screen until Battle of the Super Sons.

The Super Sons Battle Starro

The 79-minute, PG-13 rated film also sees Starro the Conqueror return as the big bad of a DC film after previously serving as the main antagonist in James Gunn's 2021 film The Suicide Squad. In the Warner Bros. Animation, DC and Warner Bros. Home Entertainment production, "11-year-old Jonathan Kent discovers he has superpowers, thrusting the half-Kryptonian into the complicated world of Super Heroes and Super-Villains -- who are now under attack by a malevolent alien force known as Starro!" The official synopsis for Battle of the Super Sons continues, "It's a race against time as Jonathan must join forces with assassin-turned-Boy-Wonder Damian Wayne to rescue their fathers (Superman & Batman) and save the planet by becoming the Super Sons they were destined to be!"
