Introduced by Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in 1939's Action Comics #13, Ultra-Humanite was a mad scientist that predated Lex Luthor as an antagonist for the Man of Tomorrow. During the Bronze Age, the villain transferred his consciousness into a gigantic albino ape, giving him the physical might to take on most of the DC Universe heroes directly.

Joshua Williamson and Max Raynor's Batman/Superman #11 goes on sale June 24 from DC Comics.
