The following contains major spoilers for DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8 from DC Comics.

Jonathan Kent/Superman gives Damian Wayne/Batman his own white Batsuit in DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8.

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8 comes from writer Tom Taylor, artists Tervor Hairsine, Lucas Meyer and Andy Lanning, colorist Rain Beredo and letterer Saida Temofonte. In the DCeased series, Earth-2 has largely been taken over by a corrupted version of the Anti-Life Equation that has turned people into zombie-like creatures. Bruce Wayne became infected and was killed in the first DCeased series, thus paving the way for his son, Damian Wayne, to take over as the Dark Knight.

Jon Kent/Superman gives Damian Wayne/Batman a white Batsuit in the last chapter of DC's zombie saga.

In DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8, Damian and a number of other survivors are getting ready to make their last stand against Erebos, the deity responsible for commanding the corrupted Anti-Life Equation. While Damian is completely unaware it's his birthday, Jon Ken pulls him aside and hands him a gift -- a brand-new white Batsuit. "I thought the personification of darkness could come up against the Light Knight," Jon says.

Damian Wayne Is DCeased's Final Causality

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods -- the final chapter of DC's zombie saga that began in 2019 -- sees Damian ultimately sacrifice himself in order to defeat Erebos and save all of Earth-2. In the final moments before Damian's death, Jon and Alfred (who transformed into the Spectre at the end of DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #6) are granted one final moment to speak with the Dark Knight before he succumbs to his fate. "I thought I'd just sit here," Jon tells him. "So you're not alone."

Damian begins to explain why he had to keep the plan to sacrifice himself a secret given Jon would've never let him go through with it. Jon confirms Damian is probably right before he then tells him, "You were a great Batman." The interaction calls back to a moment at the end of DCeased #6 when Jon is about to fight a zombified version of his father. Knowing full well he'll likely die during the battle, Jon stopped to give Damian a hug and told him, "You're gonna be a great Batman."

DCeased: War of the Undead Gods #8 features cover art by Howard Porter and Rain Beredo and variant cover art by Francesco Mattina, Kael Ngu, Sun Khamunaki, Jay Anacleto and Arif Prianto. The issue is on sale now from DC.
