More than 800 items of Hollywood memorabilia -- including Catwoman's cowl from Batman Returns, Edward Scissorhands' gloves, and Detective John McClane's cigarette lighter and police shield from the Die Hard films -- are up for auction.
Props from films as varied as Alien, Independence Day, Scarface and the James Bond franchise are being offered in the "Hollywood Legends & Luminaries Auction" by Julien's Auctions in April.
The offerings include:
-- The cowl worn by Michelle Pfeiffer in Batman Returns is valued at $8,000 to $12,000, along with other items from Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin.
-- The Zippo cigarette lighter used by Bruce Willis in Die Hard -- certified by the prop master as the only one used for the film -- is valued at $10,000 to $20,000. Also being sold is the New York Police lieutenant's shield, T-shirt and shoulder holster rig Willis wore in Die Hard With a Vengeance, and the Yamaha radio used by the late Alan Rickman in the first Die Hard.
-- From Star Wars: Return of the Jedi comes an original Imperial Scout Trooper Blaster, valued at $20,000 to $30,000.
-- The gloves Johnny Depp wore as the title character of Edward Scissorhands are valued at $30,000 to $50,000.
-- A wand from Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire used by Daniel Radcliffe is valued at $8,000 to $10,000.
