DC Comics jumped back to the top of Diamond Distributor's sales charts in June, as "Batman" returned to its position as the number one selling comic in the direct market. "Harley Quinn" was the publisher's second highest seller, landing in the number four slot, followed by Geoff Johns and John Romita Jr.'s "Superman" debut at #5, "Justice League" in position #8 and "Detective Comics" at #10.
Marvel only charted four titles in the top ten, but the publisher once again topped the overall market share with a 33.71% dollar share and 35.68% unit share. "Amazing Spider-Man" was #2 for the month, with "Original Sin" taking #3 and #6 on the charts and "Amazing Spider-Man" #1.2 ranking seventh.
"The Walking Dead" remained the only top ten title not from the Big Two, sitting at #9 on the charts.
Monthly comic sales were down slightly across the board compared to the previous month as well as June 2013. Graphic novel sales dipped from May, but were up by over 8% from last year.
Zombies once again ruled the graphic novel charts, as the first volume of "Afterlife with Archie" was the best selling collection, followed by "Night of the Living Deadpool." Image once again saw multiple titles land on the chart, with the debut volume of "Velvet" at #3, and the first three "Saga" collections all appearing in the top ten.
