DC Comics has provided a first look at Batman #101, exploring the aftermath of the explosive events of Joker War.

In Batman #100, the Clown Prince of Crime launched a full-scale assault on Gotham City, which quickly fell thanks to Punchline and her new iteration of Laughing Gas, which she used to remove the Dark Knight from the equation, at least for a while. Eventually, Batman and the rest of the Bat Family, along with Harley Quinn, beat back an army of clowns, Punchline and Joker himself, saving Gotham.

The first few pages of Batman #101 (written by James Tynion VI, illustrated by Guillem March and Tomeu Morey) see Batman perched atop a roof with Catwoman, reminiscing about the glory days of Gotham, and about the old routine of heeding the call of Bat-Signal, working with Commissioner Gordon, being urged to rest and eat by Alfred and fighting crime alongside Robin-- none of which exists now. Encouraged by Selina, Bruce admits that Gotham has changed forever and that it might be time for him to change as well.
