Though he is portraying Commissioner Jim Gordon in The Batman, Jeffrey Wright isn't done with the world of the Dark Knight.

Wright is set to voice the DC hero in Batman: The Audio Adventures, a podcast set to be released on HBO Max. The podcast features a more comedic take on the Caped Crusader, with Saturday Night Live veteran Dennis McNicholas writing and directing Batman: The Audio Adventures. McNicholas will also produce Batman: The Audio Adventures with Angela Petrella and Jon Berg.

Wright will be joined by a massive cast, including Chris Parnell, Melissa Villaseñor, Seth Meyers, Brent Spiner, John Leguizamo, Ike Barinholtz, Bobby Moynihan, Kenan Thompson, Rosario Dawson, Jason Sudeikis, Alan Tudyk, Heidi Gardner, Brooke Shields, Paul Scheer, Tim Meadows, Fred Armisen, Ray Wise, Ben Rodgers, Katie Rich, Pete Schultz, Paula Pell, Toby Huss, and McNicholas. No further plot details have been given, though the podcast is eying a 2021 release date.

Warner Bros is developing other podcasts, including a massive deal with Spotify for original scripted podcasts based on DC charactersBatman Begins screenwriter David Goyer is also developing a podcast titled  Batman Unburied for Spotify, which is said to "explore the darker parts of Bruce Wayne's character." Spotify launched an audio drama series last year based on Neil Gaiman's The Sandman, with Gaiman serving as narrator.
