Having been working with the Justice League since issue #10, Starro received the name Jarro from Batman and has gone on to become a fan-favorite character. He's become somewhat of de facto Robin due to the Dark Knight's fatherly treatment of him and even dreams of becoming Batman's "favorite Robin." In August's Justice League #29, the character will take control of the DC universe's superteam and help decide their fate.

According to the solicitation for the upcoming issue, Jarro will attempt to figure out if the Justice League is mentally prepared for the coming war with Lex Luthor's Legion of Doom. The issue is written by Scott Snyder and illustrated by Bruno Redondo and will relate to the ongoing Year of the Villain, which has seen Luthor empowered by Perpetua.
