  • They believed that the Moth was also a rip-off of National's Batman character. 3 / 12

  • It seems to be a huge stretch, right? The Moth is a basic flying hero. 4 / 12

  • The stories don't even remotely resemble the typical Batman story of the era. 5 / 12

  • However, National still sent a cease and desist. Fox, amusingly, leaned into it the other way. 6 / 12

  • They made the Moth basically a DIRECT Batman and Robin ripoff! 7 / 12

  • They basically had Jim Mooney draw the Moth and his new sidekick like Bob Kane's art. 8 / 12

  • Oddly enough, they also changed the name of the Moth to the Lynx. 9 / 12

  • National sued again and they won again (the judge was shocked Fox was back again). 10 / 12

  • So Fox paid a small settlement fee to Naitonal and altered the appearance of the Lynx. 11 / 12
