Besides Batman proclaiming 'never giving up' is his superpower, the poor guy doesn't really have any. The Caped Crusader was born sans  Inhuman superpowers. But he is rich, to say the least. And when you combine his exceptional intelligence with his dough, you get a suave superhero. Batman more that anything, is known for his arsenal, weaponry, and mobiles.

Given that Batman's story arc- his promise of "never again" on the tragic night his parents died, him not possessing superpowers is a blessing in disguise. That Batman hustled every day, helped his appeal. His appeal lies in the cult of an ordinary man against the criminals of the world. Although Batman says his superpower is his money, there are plenty of times when he has been blessed with inhuman powers too.

10 THE MAN-BAT MUTATION

You wouldn't think Batman would spare Heretic after the latter killed his son, Damian Wayne. Batman worked day in and out to seek revenge from Heretic. The path to this, however, wasn't an easy one, given Heretic was an artificially designed clone of Damian, stronger than him and Batman, combined.

What does the Caped Crusader do? He injects the Man-Bat serum in himself and voila! Batman gains exceptional powers to avenge his son. After taking down Heretic, Batman takes the anti-serum to reverse these powers.

9 THE AMAZO VIRUS

Ever heard of the time when Lex Luthor almost, almost joined the Justice League? It's bizarre, given that the exploiter of Metropolis would be allowed to join the League. But then again, bizarre arcs: thy name is DC.

The League places a condition before Lex Luthor, which states that he would be only allowed to join if he shows his secret lab. As Batman and Lex are inspecting the lab, they are attacked by an assassin. Although this part is dealt with, there is an accidental virus outbreak in the lab that affects Batman when other superheroes have immunity. This is the case of Amazo Virus.

The Amazo Virus affects Batman because he's just human. Along with the rest of the city, Batman gets sick. He not only gains the ability to generate sound waves but he can focus them onto the weapons to kill enemies. Needless to say, he's cured in the end by the join efforts of Lex and Superman.

8 SUPER BATMAN

The name says it all! In Superman Batman #53, a totem appears on the scene which takes Superman's powers away. This totem instead, bestows powers upon Batman. Superman takes this turn of events in his stride and teaches Batman his techniques. Until one day, Batman becomes a renegade. As he goes to the other side, he uses Superman's powers to flex in general.

When worse comes worst, the Justice League steps in, with Superman at the helm. As the League fails to curb Batman, Superman somehow gets hold of the same totem that took his powers. All is well after Superman gains back his powers. There is a lesson here though- Batman is sans-superpowers for a reason.

7 BATMAN ZUR-EN-ARRH

In Batman #113, the Caped Crusader ends up becoming The Superman of Planet-X. Written by France Herron and Dick Sprang, Batman is asked by Tiano (Zur-En-Arrh's Batman) to seek his help in defeating Kanjar Ro and his intergalactic robots.

Upon reaching the planet of  Zur-En-Arrh, Batman is exposed to Rodon. This exposure turns Batman into a Superman-Esque superhero. After his initial victories, Batman is celebrated on Zur-En-Arrh. Kanjar Ro meanwhile works at reversing the effects of Rodon on Batman. As Kanjar executes his plan successfully, Batman goes back to being just-Batman.

6 VAMPIRE VENOM

In this dark tale from Batman: The Brave and the Bold, Batman is bitten on the nose by Nosferatu, the Dracula. Poor Batsy ends up becoming a blood-thirsty vampire on the loose, gnawing his teeth into every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

The story arc is interesting for the fact that Batman has always dreaded Bats ("It's time the world shared my dread"). It serves as a catharsis, as Batman lives his fear and works to stabilize himself by the end. Additionally, Batman fighting  Dracula is a treat to watch.

5 VENOM BATMAN (COMICS)

Batman takes Venom drug

There's nothing that money can't buy, in this case: high powered steroids that give Batman super strength. Although Batman opts to use these drugs to take down criminals and thugs, there is a downside to the tale too.

Like standard drug abuse, Batman turns into a druggie burn-out. As his withdrawal symptoms start acting, Batman smashes everyone in his field of vision. Before his drug abuse wrecks havoc on everyone, Batman goes on a sabbatical in his Batcave. It is later revealed the high-powered steroids that Batman was on were actually early versions of Venom - Bane's signature enhancer of choice.

4 BATMAN- THE GREEN LANTERN

The name says it all. In Batman: In Darkest Knight, Batsy is chosen as the Green Lantern of Earth. Upon his exposure to the power ring, he's cross between Green Lantern and Batman. There are plenty of times when Batman wore the Green Lantern ring, such as in Blackest Night, Brightest Day, Sinestro Corps War.

The most memorable of these is when Hal Jordan teaches Batman how to wield his ring. In this bittersweet tale, as Batman uses the ring to see his parents, he fails to come to grips with it. The Caped Crusader gives Hal back his ring, proving he will never be able to accept his parents' murder.

3 VENOM BATMAN (VIDEO GAME)

In Injustice (the video game), Batman resorts to drug-abuse again. The pills that Batsy  swallows are Kryptonian Nanotech pills, that increase the tensile strength of the bone tissue.

Batman does this to fight Superman, of course. But apparently, these pills aren't enough to beat Superman at his own game. With drug abuse, consistency is both make and break.

2 GOD BATMAN

The trinity of Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman in the comic book Trinity are banished from their home. The three are cast away into a lower dimension by the Fae Witch. In this lower dimension, although the trinity ends up becoming God's, home is where the heart is.

Eventually, the allies, rescue the trinity back to Earth with a feather in their cap. They retain their god-like powers and ultimately defeat the Fae Witch.

1 THE ALL-KNOWING BATMAN

Batman the Bat god

This remains the most controversial of all time, Batman becomes all-knowing. In the Darkseid War, Batman sat on the Mobius Chair to become the the god of knowledge. This was a pretty blessed comic arc by Geoff Johns in that it turned the League into New Gods.

The Mobius Chair originally belonged to Metron and it holds answers to every mystery in the universe. Like Batman's previous drug abuse, he couldn't let go of the chair either. If it wasn't for Hal Jordan's intervention, Batman would have remained seated forever. Many fans debate whether it was a superpower that Batsy was blessed with or the chair. But one way or another, Batman did become the God of Knowledge.
