Scott Pilgrim vs. The World and Baby Driver director Edgar Wright knows where he stands on the reported casting of Twilight and Good Times star Robert Pattinson in Matt Reeves' upcoming The Batman .

In a post on Twitter, Wright said, "Here for #RBatz," showing his approval for the casting.

Rumors from February suggested Warner Bros. was eyeing Pattinson to replace Ben Affleck as Bruce Wayne/Batman. However, most didn't consider him a frontrunner until recent reports suggested otherwise. The award-winning actor has received plenty of praise for his performance in 2018's Good Time and 2014's The Rover. Over the years, he's received awards for his work in the Twilight film franchise, Water for Elephants and Life.

Wright is probably best known for his work on The Cornetto Trilogy with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. That trilogy consists of 2004's Shaun of the Dead, 2007's Hot Fuzz and 2013's The World's End. The director's latest film, Last Night in Soho, is set to release some time in 2020.
