Paranormal detective Dylan Dog and Batman, the World's Greatest Detective, will be going up against villains Joker and Xabaras in a new comic series.

A new collaboration between DC Comics and Italian publishing houses Sergio Bonelli Editore and RW Edizioni will produce a limited series featuring the four popular characters. The first issue will debut at Lucca Comics and Games 2019, an annual comics and gaming convention taking place in Lucca, Italy.

Dylan Dog is a series of horror comics centered on a charismatic paranormal detective (or "nightmare investigator") with a complicated past. Dylan Dog has faced down mad killers, interdimensional sorcerers and deformed maniacs amongst many other threats. Supporting characters include Groucho, a Groucho Marx impersonator who is Dog's friend, roommate and sidekick.

Issue #0 of the crossover series will be entitled "Dangerous Liaisons" and feature writer Roberto Recchioni and artists Gigi Cavenago and Werther Dell'Edera. The issue will feature two variant covers; one portraying Batman and Dylan Dog and another with Batman and Xabraxas.
