The joke had to be made: He's not the hero we deserve, but he's definitely the one we need right now.

Footage has surfaced on Reddit of a real-life superhero patrolling the streets and helping citizens in this difficult and confusing time. But rather than busting bad guys or repelling alien threats, Batman has taken to the streets to make sure that the citizens of Gotham (?) are able to safely go to the bathroom during quarantine or self-isolation.

As the Dark Knight strides through an alleyway, brandishing an open package of toilet paper, cheers can be heard from those watching him keep the streets safe. Following social distancing protocols, Batman maintains safe space between himself and the citizens, likely leaving the TP at a front gate, or tossing it up to the people watching from their balconies. As COVID-19 spreads around the globe, it's nice to see people remembering that heroes don't always just save the planet or reboot entire universes - sometimes they just make sure that we're able to take care of ourselves in trying times.
