A new clip from the upcoming interactive animated film Batman: Death in the Family chillingly foreshadows Jason Todd's death in 2010's Batman: Under the Red Hood.

The clip offers some background regarding Batman and Robin's mission to track down the Joker in Europe, revealing that it was Jason who discovered that the villain was planning on selling stolen uranium to terrorists, with Bruce praising him for his detective skills. Later, Batman takes the Batcycle to pursue trucks full of uranium being transported by Ra's al Ghul's men. Robin suggests he investigate a suspicious warehouse while Batman is away. Batman shuts down the idea, warning his sidekick, "Don't go after Joker alone."

Of course, those who have seen Under the Red Hood will know that Jason doesn't listen, and that the warehouse is where the second Robin meets his demise at the hands of the Clown Prince of Crime.

A follow-up to Under the Red Hood, Death in the Family is an interactive film that not only acts as a prequel of sorts, but also allows viewers to choose how the story unfolds, with branching narrative paths and multiple endings showing all the ways the classic Batman tale could have played out.
