The DC Universe is about to be a very scary place. Last weel, DC released the first batch of horror movie-inspired variant covers for the upcoming DCeased miniseries, which will apparently see zombies overtake the DC Universe.
Now, writer Tom Taylor debuted two more horrific variant covers on Twitter. Both of these covers for DCeased #1 feature a zombified Batman. On Clayton Crain's cover, Batman sits in a crouched position, covered in scars and surrounded by the skulls of other Justice League members. In the other by Ben Oliver, Zombie Batman bites at a zombie-version of the Joker.
I've mentioned how safe every one of your favorite DC superheroes is in #DCeased, right?— Tom Taylor (@TomTaylorMade) April 7, 2019

While Taylor will pen the upcoming miniseries, it will also feature the artists Trevor Harisine (Legends of the Dark Knight), James Harren (Rumble) and Stefano Gaudiano (The Walking Dead).
The series will feature several DC heroes, including Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, in a race to stop a virus that creates zombies from spreading across the entire world. The synopsis of the series indicates that these zombies will not be the undead, but people exposed to a virus that turns them violent and destructive.
DCeased #1, by Tom Taylor, Trevor Harisine, James Harren and Stefano Gaudiano, is scheduled to be released on May 1.
