A new creative team takes the reins on the main Batman comic book series next month and DC Comics has unveiled a preview of the start of James Tynion IV's run as the title's new writer.

Tynion's tenure includes a three-page epilogue at the end of Batman #85 -- Tom King's final issue on the series since taking over in 2016 -- which is due for release on Dec. 18. Tynion is joined by artists Guillem March and Tomeu Morey for the epilogue, along with letterer Clayton Cowles. A sneak peek at the epilogue along with cover and preview art to Batman #86, Tynion's full debut on the title, are below. The cover and interior art to January's issue #86 are penciled by Tony Daniel, inked by Danny Miki and colored by Tomeu Morey.
