In the DC Animated Universe, it's no secret that Bruce Wayne's relationship with the Bat-Family had become strained. While Bruce seemed to reconcile with Tim Drake and Barbara Gordon in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, in Batman Beyond Vol. 3 #6 by Adam Beechen, Ryan Benjamin, and John Stanisci, it was made clear that this wasn't possible for Bruce and Dick Grayson.

Dick may not fully hate Bruce but the resentment and disdain are so deep that Dick wouldn't even consider talking with Bruce.

In the animated series The Batman, Cosmo Krank was the CEO of a toy company with toys that caused dangerous accidents and it was Bruce Wayne who was the one to lead the charge for the company to be shut down, as Krank had insisted that his company's toys had been approved for safety when they obviously were not.

In The Dark Knight Rises, John Daggett was a rival businessman that went above and beyond to ruin Bruce Wayne and take over Wayne Enterprises. While Daggett's hatred for Bruce is likely not motivated by personal vendettas, but instead the logical emotion he feels as Bruce is in the way of his acquiring all of the money and power that Daggett wants.

The amount of hatred Daggett has for Bruce was enough for him to hire Bane, a decision that ultimately led to his death.

Growing up in a wealthy family of Gotham, Roman Sionis, who would later be known as Batman's enemy Black Mask, was forced to interact with a young Bruce Wayne. As Roman held little affection for anyone, his hatred for Bruce at this time was of little importance.

It wasn't until years later, after Roman had killed his parents and taken over the family business, that he had run it right into the ground and was forced to accept a bailout from Bruce, causing further hatred.

6 Oswald Cobblepot Hates Bruce Because He's A Wayne

In Batman: Earth One, Oswald Cobblepot holds a grudge against the entire Wayne family as he believes they were the ones to disgrace his own family's legacy. When Bruce Wayne was a child, Oswald was running against his father for mayor, and while Thomas and Martha ended up being killed in a random mugging, Oswald had actually made plans to have them killed to ensure his electoral victory.

As the corrupt mayor of Gotham, Oswald still hates Bruce Wayne and then comes to hate Batman.

5 Morgan Ducard, AKA Nobody, Hates Bruce From His Pre-Batman Days

In Bruce Wayne's journey towards becoming Batman, he trained in France under the mentorship of Henri Ducard, a man whose son Morgan was hired to assassinate the young billionaire. After Bruce had bested Morgan in a fight, Henri decided to train the two young men together, which eventually led to Morgan hating Bruce.

Eventually, Bruce left the Ducards as he didn't wish to be assassins like them and Morgan was sent to once again kill Bruce. Morgan failed his mission, which disgraced him to Henri.

4 Edward Nygma Is Obsessed With Bruce (Batman Forever)

In Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever, Edward Nygma was an eccentric researcher at Wayne Enterprises who had a slightly unhealthy obsession with Bruce Wayne. So, when Wayne rejected his brainwaves invention, Nygma took it really hard. He killed his supervisor, left his job, and created the Riddler to enact his vengeance on Wayne.

Nygma not only wanted to take Wayne down, but he also wanted to show that he was better than Wayne, wanting to leave Wayne "outsold, outclassed, outcoifed, and... generally outdone in every way."

3 Kyodai Ken Hates Bruce Wayne For His Expulsion From Yoru's Dojo

Similarly to Morgan Ducard, Kyodai Ken was also trained alongside Bruce Wayne long before the latter became Batman, though Ken was, until recently, relegated to Batman: The Animated Series. Ken was able to win the first time he ever sparred with Bruce but in the end, he dishonored his mentor Yoru, who expelled Ken who would then become an assassin called the Ninja.

Ken eventually met up with Batman years later in Gotham, immediately recognizing his old enemy whom he still hated after so long.

2 Jason Todd Has Had A Love-Hate Relationship With His Former Mentor

Like the older version of Dick Grayson, Jason Todd holds a lot of resentment for his former partner. But unlike Dick, Jason has tried to kill Batman at one point or another.

However, Jason's hatred comes from a place of hurt, something that anyone could understand as Jason was upset that after so many years, Bruce Wayne as Batman still allowed the Joker to live even though he had murdered Jason. Jason's feelings are complex as he still loves Bruce, but there's hate there, too.

1 Nobody Hates Bruce Wayne More Than Hush

Like Roman Sionis, Thomas Elliot, AKA Hush, knew Bruce Wayne when the two were children, however, Tommy was actually a close friend to Bruce as the two often played games together. Though the two were very different and Tommy came to feel a deep, deep hatred for Bruce as he was jealous of Bruce inheriting his parent's fortune at such a young age.

So Tommy plotted for years to bring down Bruce Wayne and Batman out of sheer, seething hatred as told in Batman: Hush.
